REVIEW: Capturing Jasmina by Kimberly Rae

Capturing Jasmina is part of the India Street Kids series by Ms. Rae.  This book follows Jasmina who is probably unknowingly sold into child labor by her destitute parents.  Her younger brother is sold with her and she longs to find him again throughout the book.  Jasmina is forced into sewing labor until a lucky break sets her free.  Freedom, though, comes with a steep price as she next has to survive on the streets and avoid being pressed into prostitution or other heinous jobs set aside for the defenseless children.  Jasmina encounters a women’s group of prayerful women who lead her to some life-changing situations.
