REVIEW: Rebellious Heart by Jody Hedlund

Susanna Smith and Ben Ross are swept up in the unfairness of the 1760’s in Massachusetts Colony.  Their loyalties to the King and to societal convention are tested.  Readers will be nervous alongside Susanna as she debates her limited options in helping Dotty, the indentured servant runaway.  Then there’s Ben who is part of an underground network of smugglers trying to help their community make a living and break away from England’s strong arm.  Take a step into history and enjoy this story.

I received an advance copy of the book and greatly enjoyed it.  I have been following Jody Hedlund’s work starting with THE PREACHER’S BRIDE.  Her attention to historical detail is appreciated by me, and who can resist a man of character as the hero!
