REVIEW: “A Cast of Stones”

Cover of “A Cast of Stones” by Patrick W. Carr

A Cast of Stones” by Patrick W. Carr is a fresh new book in the Christian fantasy genre.  “A Cast of Stones” tells the story of a young drunkard named Errol Stone, an orphan, and his quest to become a Reader for the kingdom of Illustra.  The Readers are servants of the Church who can carve and cast lots to answer many different questions.  Many challenges face Errol along the way, and Patrick W. Carr keeps the action and suspense moving to make this book a success.  In this edition I noted a few grammatical or typographical errors, but these do not detract from the excellence of the story itself.  In the end, I can safely say that I highly recommend this book as a Christian Fiction/Fantasy novel.

**A copy of “A Cast of Stones” was provided to me by Bethany House Publishers and Book Reviewers in exchange for an honest review.
