REVIEW: Shattered by Dani Pettrey

ShatteredI enjoyed this fast-paced novel about a close-knit family of brothers/sisters in Alaska.  This particular book focused on Piper McKenna and Detective Landon who have been friends since childhood.  Piper’s brother, Reef, is accused of murder and the storyline keeps you turning the pages as you want to find out who is behind the opening scene murder of Karli.  I admit that the main characters seem to have LOTS of leeway in how they solve the mystery.  And, each person has amazing survival skills.  But, it makes the story move along and I thought it was interesting.  I recommend it, even for those like myself who normally don’t pick up murder mysteries.
